The Curious Society
Photojournalism is worth saving.
In an ever shrinking market, we’re here to give photojournalists options. Unlike most places that publish photojournalism today, we don’t demand ownership of the images we print. We don’t buy images, we license them. That way photographers can re-license their images in the future and continue to profit from their work.
We produce a high-quality publication that is a showcase for great work. This, we believe, will elevate the marketplace for photojournalism across the board.
Our first issue includes the work of 53 photographers from around the globe, from all walks of life, both young and old. The reader will recognize some familiar names, like Jane Evelyn Atwood, Eli Reed, Neil Leifer and Elliot Erwitt, while also being introduced to new talent for the very first time. Our cover features images by four time Pulitzer winner, Carol Guzy, and inside we feature a wide variety of topics, many of which have gone completely unseen, until now.

I was brought on as Art Director for the Curious Society and tasked with layout of our first issue and with helping to develop the brand with the help of agencies Lopez Negrete and Tippit & Moo, both out of Houston, TX. With our marketing director I developed assets for promoting the launch of Issue One, of our event "The Curious Fest", and eventually built our website.
